INAUGURATION

During placements of mechanical students we observed that we lag behind due to lack of soft skills as well as poor technical skill.

Thus we decided to form a forum for Skill Enhancement & Employability Development of ourselves. 


So a group of like minded students came together to form a core team, and on 29th of February, 2020 SEED Forum was officially inaugurated by Dr D.V. Bhise Sir (HOD Mechanical Engineering).

He described the forum as “Forum OF the students, BY the Students, and FOR the Students”

As engineering students we decided to go for a Digital Inauguration ceremony of the forum, a unique and first of its own kind. SEED Forum became the first forum to digitize its inauguration ceremony.

Robotic Arm for cleaning oil tanks in the ship

     The project is based on real industrial problem faced by ship maintenance industry. Cleaning of oil tank is major issue and hazardous to human who enters oil tank so we decided to build a prototype of a bot which will clean the oil tank automatically. Initially we thought of designing a hydraulic lift with robotic arm mounted on it, but it would not withstand high pressure fluids passing through pipe due to momentum.      So we decided to build a moving bot in which the arm will be mounted on the rover tank with Magnetic caterpillar track. HACKATHON 2020

YOGESH MORE SIR  Introduction:  Due to Covid-19 We (SEED MEMBERS) currently organized the on-site events as a Virtual live webinar for Ansys Software. Our Chief Guest was Mr Yogesh More. He is currently working in Philips as a Design engineer. He has done his M.TECH in IIT Bombay (Design engineering).        It was challenging for us to organize this event on such a large scale. Where all the students participated actively.
