MIND SCRIBBLE 2020- A MILESTONE EVENT

SEED announced its first milestone event named Mind Scribble. The event was planned on a large scale where all the departments actively participated making the event magnificent and wonderful.

We received nearly 120 registrations, and the participation fee of 20/- each was collected by online as well as offline mode.

Proper allocation of funds and a well defined planning of the forum were carried out, some of the pictures of preparation done by design team are shown below.





ABOUT EVENT

The competition was divided into 3 rounds as follows:

1. Online Aptitude:

Aptitude questions asked by various companies during placement drives were included in this round, students had to solve 10 questions in 20 mins, more than 10 sets of question papers were designed to avoid malpractices and the results were declared within no time. Top 12 Teams (2 students per Team) were qualified for round 2.

2. Aptitude Face off:

All the teams had to solve the aptitude questions in minimum amount of time, the top 4 teams with minimum amount of time qualified for last final round.

3. GK Quiz:

It was a fun round and based on GK questions in order to select  winners of the competition.

1. FIRST PRIZE:

Pratik Mahajan & Pratik Khogre made an amazing come-back in round 3 & won the competition by a huge margin! The way they played the round and answer all the questions was quite impressive!  Keep it up guys…

2. SECOND PRIZE:

Pramod Khavare & Suyash Khade dominated the competition right from the first round. The way they played the aptitude round & scored highest marks in aptitude round was extra-ordinary, no other team scored even close to them in aptitude section! Well played guys….

Robotic Arm for cleaning oil tanks in the ship

     The project is based on real industrial problem faced by ship maintenance industry. Cleaning of oil tank is major issue and hazardous to human who enters oil tank so we decided to build a prototype of a bot which will clean the oil tank automatically. Initially we thought of designing a hydraulic lift with robotic arm mounted on it, but it would not withstand high pressure fluids passing through pipe due to momentum.      So we decided to build a moving bot in which the arm will be mounted on the rover tank with Magnetic caterpillar track. INAUGURATION

During placements of mechanical students we observed that we lag behind due to lack of soft skills as well as poor technical skill. Thus we decided to form a forum for Skill Enhancement & Employability Development of ourselves.   So a group of like minded students came together to form a core team, and on 29 th of February, 2020 SEED Forum was officially inaugurated by Dr D.V. Bhise Sir (HOD Mechanical Engineering).
